Beautiful baby blond hair

Little miss Rilynn got her blond locks cut off yesterday. She has been begging for a haircut she actually has been asking to get it cut like Kristians!?! So I gave in. I dont know why I get so emotional about hair it grows back, right? She loves it and it will be much easier with the start of swimming lessons next week. And yes I did save every little strand of hair that I could!

Senas room

I so wish I would have taken a "before" picture! Sena went out of town on a ski trip so we decided that it would be a perfect time to lets just say clean up her room. Oh my. The things we found in there! It took us hours to pull all the cloths and junk out of every crack in her room. She saves everything! I am happy to say that after 3 garbage bags and 3 boxes of clothes off to goodwill her room is clean and organized! She comes home tonight I hope she is as happy about it as I am!

Ba Humbug!

I just cant seem to get into the Christmas spirit this year. The only decoration we have up in the house is a little pink tree in Ri's room. Otherwise there are no lights, nativity scenes Christmas trees, decorations of any kind. Isn't that terrible? I know that I have a 3 year old and I should at least try to be into it. With me sewing and with Rilynns toys all over the place I cant even imagine adding Christmas stuff to the clutter. There is very little money for gifts this year so the tree would be naked underneath anyways, that is what I keep telling myself. I do hope that I can find a little holiday spirit before its through for my kiddos sake!

Halloween

This fall has been beautiful and mild here in MN, halloween was no exception! I can remember very few times that we have not had to wear coats and hats out trick-or-treating. Sena stayed over at a friends house and Kristian and Jenna hung out and handed out candy while we took Rilynn around the neighborhood. She had a blast! She would politely say "trick-or-treat" and then smile and say "thank you". She let daddy take her to most houses but not the really scary one, she held on to me as tight as she could and said, "I don't think this is a good idea". The only picture there is of me and Ri, my eyes are half closed~ oh well! (Kirsten, cant you fix that for me?)

Kristian received his varsity letter on Sunday, he cant wait to get a Letterman's jacket to put it on. Kristian also started basketball and drivers training, he is going to be a busy boy for the next two weeks! Last week was Sena's school conferences and I am so proud of her! She has all A's and a B+! What a way to start middle school! This week She tried out for the school play, she will find out tomorrow if she got a part. Rilynns new thing this week is "going camping". She wants me to come in her room and roast marshmallows over the "fire". She is so funny!

Happy 12th Birthday Sena!

My sweet Cinderella, 12 years old today. It seems just yesterday I was carrying you around on my hip. You were such a mamas girl. Time goes so fast. You are a wonderful daughter and sister, we all love you very much! I hope you have an awesome day!

The last week has been just crazy. We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. We spent the day be-boping around. Chad took me to the best store I have ever been to in my life, it was a children's boutique with the most beautiful clothing. I could live there. (I couldn't afford to buy anything there!) I would love to own a store like that! We had a fabulous lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. We brought home two pieces of cheesecake for all of us to share, mmm....

We also drove around in the country trying to find the perfect place to take photos of Rilynn wearing my latest T-Dress made from horse fabric. We ended up calling a friend who has horses and going to their house. It was perfect! Rilynn got to sit on a little horse named "oreo" and pet all the others. She even got to meet "sniffles" the pig! It was a fun time and I got some great shots!

Last weekend we headed to Rochester for Sena's state soccer tournament. The whole thing turned into a disaster when at 4 am Saturday morning Chad got the stomach flu. I will spare you the gory details. I ended up driving the boys home to their beds (Kristian wasn't feeling well either) and Sena stayed with her team. Sena called me after the game crying hysterically, I will also spare you the gory details of that situation. It was a horrible weekend. I am glad it is the beginning of a new week!
