The Gruffalo

Today Rilynn and I (and her dolly) went to the Childrens Theatre to see "The Gruffalo". Ri loves going on the big kid bus with all her little friends! She didnt like the play much a little too loud for her today. They had the kids in the audeince roaring and making other noises. I have to agree that a couple hundred kids roaring at the same time is quite overwhelming! It was fun to get out and catch up with some of my mommy friends!

3 1/2

My "baby" is 3 1/2 years old today. How can that be? How can time go so fast yet the winter seems to drag on FOREVER! It has been a cold and miserable winter. We have had so few days that are even warm enough to play in the snow. (it is currently -9) Both girls got pertussis aka: whooping cough over the holidays so we are still dealing with the symptoms of that. We just started Ri on a 5 day course of steroids to see if we can get her to be able to sleep at night without coughing and gagging. I hate to give them to her but I know that she needs them.
Kristian has kept busy this winter playing basketball and soccer and of course hanging out with his girlfriend. He is still loving high school and continues to hold on to his 4.0. Sena is on the middle school cross country ski team which she thankfully LOVES! It has been good for her to have something active to do everyday after school. She even had the opportunity to go away for 4 days over break with a friend to a ski camp. She also has dance class once a week, soccer, and church activities. Rilynn has become quite bored at home this winter so on top of her "school" once a week we started swimming lessons. She loves the water and our local YMCA has a perfect pool for little people. She has a small class and a super sweet teacher. She wakes up every morning and asks if it is swimming lessan day. I am anxiously awaiting leaving this cold place for a few days coming up in a few weeks. Kristian and I are heading to Vegas for a soccer tournament I hope it is warm and sunny there!
