< The last few days have been pretty crappy. On Friday Senas soccer team played in Districts and lost the first game eliminating them from going to state. Bummer! We were hoping they would at least make it through the first game! On Saturday I woke to find that my raspberry bushs had been trampled boy was I pissed! Our yard is completely fenced in so someone would have had to jump the wood fence witch the bushs are right next to and basically land on top of them. I hope who ever it was has a butt full of thorns! No more raspberries this year. We spent Saturday afternoon helping move my mothers things out of her place to an apartment near us. Moving sucks. It sucks even more when its hot out what else can I say? We had planned to go to the "Rivertown Days" parade that evening but it got rained out. We did go down to the carnival by the river for a while after the rain stopped. The big kids crabbed the hole time about being there and Rilynn loved every min of it. She got to go on two kiddie rides she smiled and waved the whole time. (I forgot my camera)Sunday was a good day the parade was rescheduled for noon so we left the big kids home and took Rilynn. After the parade she said "that was so much fun!" so that made it all worth while. Today Kristian and I went to see the dermatologist. He has had a rash on his face for a while that he needed to get checked. He was thrilled to find out that some antibiotics should clear it up in a week or two. I have had a lump on my foot that has been there for a couple of years. I got to have needles poked into it and the top cut off it today. Not fun. The Novocain lasted for about 45 min and it didn't take long before I was in pain. Still am. It was sent off to get biopsed I should know more in a week or so. On the way home we stopped at taco bell for what I thought would be a cheap lunch, I was wrong. The dumb guy accidentally charged me $71.00 instead of $7.10! So even though he voided it, the money still came out of my account and has still not been refunded! The banker that I talked to today said it should be back in tomorrow morning it had better be. So that about wraps up the last few days it can only get better from here. On a lighter note Kristians leg is starting to improve (no more crutches) and I made this super cute skirt today that Rilynn just loves.
A couple of years ago we added some raspberry bushes to our garden and this year it is paying off. This week Rilynn and I have picked and eaten dozens of juicy raspberries! Mmmm...there is nothing better to top a morning bowl of cereal or a afternoon yogurt!
Sweet baby girl I cannot even believe that you are 3 years old today! You bring more joy to me than you will ever know. You are so sweet and loving and so very shy. It is a scary world out there you can hide under mamas wing as long as you need. I love you always and forever! ~Mama~
This week was Kristian and Sena's last league soccer games for the season. Kristian's team won their league and Sena's team took 6th place. It has been a crazy but exciting season. Kristian's team was so fun to watch and we met a great group of boys and parents. I didn't realize how attached I had gotten to the team until this week when Kristian couldn't play and I was still so into the game, I wouldn't have missed it for anything! Amazing how long the season seems yet how fast it goes. Sena's team has improved so much it was fun watching the girls turn into "soccer players". Sena's team still has districts to play, so we have a few more games left. Little Ri has been a trouper throughout, long car rides, playing on the sidelines, using the port-a-potties, (sometimes 3 times a game!) and eating dinner in the car many times a week. We have a few weeks to get Kristian healed up for tryouts in August!
We spent the 4th up north at the cabin. Beautiful weather, great food, boating, fishing, 4-wheeling, campfires, the kids had a blast. Well, the girls did anyways. Kristian got injured the first day he got there, tubing. He spent most of the time sitting in the cabin resting his hurt leg. He is now on crutches and missing the last week of soccer. Bummer!
I have been trying to get this posted all week... so here goes...
Last weekend we went to my cousins wedding out in the sticks, in Hillsdale, Wisconsin. It was the most interesting wedding that I have ever been to. Both the wedding and reception were held in a barn that was built in 1880, I assure you that it has not been updated. It was in a beautiful location surrounded by wildflowers. Instead of rice we threw lavender at the new bride and groom. There were horses with horseback riding for the kids. There was a table set up with glass jars full of specialty candies for your taking. Sounds perfect, right? Well did I mention the rainy, windy storm that took place during dinner? Lets just say that it was quite a sight watching the old ladies holding things over their heads so not to ruin their hair! I honestly thought for a few min there that we would surely blow away! Rilynn enjoyed riding horses, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening with my bestest cousin that came all the way from Brazil to be there. (Happy 10th Anniversary Autumn and Andrew! I cant wait until we meet again!) After the storm subsided a beautiful rainbow went right over the barn, I am going to guess that is good luck on your wedding day!
