Field Trip Friday

Today Rilynn went on her first real field trip. She was so excited to go on the big school bus! She couldn't believe that she didn't have to sit in her car seat! The big bus took us and a bunch of her 3 year old friends to a farm/orchard not too far away. The kids got to pick apples and see how they are washed, shined and packed. They also got to feed the goats, donkey, chickens and turkeys. Next week the big bus will take us to the children's theatre for a show!

Kristians birthday dinner

There was a late "team dinner" after the game on Kristians birthday. They served his favorite meal and we brought a chocolate cake. The Varsity boys were so good to him, joking around with him and saying happy birthday. The captain even got all the boys together and sang happy birthday to him, it was sweet.

15 years ago I was given the most wonderful gift there is to receive... a baby. Kristian Lee. Even though most thought that the timing was all wrong, the timing was perfect it was Gods timing. He came into this world at a time that I needed some direction in my life. I vowed that day to do the best that I could to love and raise this little person that I was given. What an indescribable blessing he has been.

Kristian... I am so proud of the man that you are becoming. You are kind, smart funny and loving. You are so sweet to Rilynn she is lucky to have you. You do such a good job helping Sena with her homework. I am so proud of the way you handle yourself around the older boys on Varsity and around Jenna. I am so glad that you came into my life exactly when you did.

I love you always,

Mom

Apple orchard

Today Rilynn and I headed to the apple orchard. It was a beautiful day for it! We picked raspberries and apples, played at the playground, and fed the animals. (goats, lama & donkey) Along with the apples and raspberries, we also bought some fresh jam and some flavored honey sticks. Rilynn picked out an apple and a honey stick for Grandpa and Uncle Tim and brought them to them at work. Then we went for lunch with daddy and papa. What a wonderful day!

Rilynns first trip to the dentist

Yesterday Rilynn went to the dentist for the first time. I had been talking about it and preparing her for it for awhile now so she did great! She held her mouth open while they cleaned and counted and she even did fluoride! Great job Ri!

Happy 60th Birthday Dad!

It was another crazy weekend for us. On Saturday we drove to Mounds View to watch the varsity team take home their first win of the season. (yeah!) Then we drove to "the farm" to celebrate my dads 60th Birthday. Sena should have been a farm girl. She is in her own little world there. Most of the evening she walked around holding a pigeon in her arms. She also chased around the ducks geese and turkeys. She loves it there!

On Sunday we drove to Owotana for Sena's first fall game. They tied 1-1. Sena rocked in net and at defense way to go girl! I have no idea how many miles we put on this weekend or how much we spent on gas lots and lots!

I also added some pics of our trip to the zoo last week (the bears put on quite a show!) and of the "sick" butterfly that Ri found.

Parks

I decided today that once a week while the weather allows, I am going to take Ri to a "new" park ~ one she has not been to before. She LOVES playing at the park, I get bored silly with the same ones over and over. Today we went to an awesome one. She brought her teddy and took her down the slides, on the swing and even on the teeter totter. The green dino was her favorite!

High school, Middle school & pre-school

Yesterday Kristian started High School, Sena started Middle School and Rilynn and I started doing pre-school at home. Both of the big kids came home and pretty much said the day was boring and everything went fine. It takes this mama some time to get used to the thought of them being at school all day. I worry about all the things that could go wrong while they are there. Today I heard lots of sirens near the high school and my mind went wild. I was thinking what if there was a bomb or a school shooting? Yes, I did get in my car and drive just to make sure the action was not at the school. There was a car accident near the school, I didnt get close enough to see who or what. I hope these thoughts will settle in the weeks to come.

Rilynn and I are going to home school one day a week. (one day we will go to a class away from home) Yesterday we practiced our letters and did some art projects. She loves it and even calls me teacher, its cute!
