Fabulous Friday!!

I just LOVE Fridays! It make it much better on a day like today when the sun is shinning! Even though it is only 40 degrees with the sun shinning it smells like spring outside. I think only us Minnesotans really truly appreciate spring.

I love being a stay at home mom, but the weeks do get long (especially in winter) and Friday to me means that I get to spend the weekend with my family. Even when that means running kids from here to there and everywhere!

Finally today my little Ri pie is coming back! She is still stuffy and has a cough but not nearly as crabby. She is so good natured and sweet this week has been rough with her whining and barking orders at everyone. " I need some water with a top on it and ice RIGHT NOW!" Yesterday she HAD to have oatmeal at 3:00 in the afternoon. Your lucky that your so cute little punkin!

Daddy, the glasses are for you! We found these at Cub today Ri said "I can wear these to soccer mama!" Happy Friday!!!!

We had a crazy week with First Communion and Easter! I came down with a nasty cold in the middle of it which was tough! Now little Ri has my cold and she is not my normal happy girl today. CRABBY!! I hope it is short lived.

Easter was quiet and wonderful. We spent the day together walking in the woods and eating dinner at grandmas. It was great to not have to travel!

Today is the last day of spring break for the kiddos, back to school tomorrow!

Sena's First Holy Communion

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Luke 22:19-20

Sena took her First communion on Maundy Thursday. Along with our family, Sena's Godparents, grandparents, and cousins were there to partake with her. It was a beautiful thing. Sena, you are a beautiful child of God and I am proud to be your mom. Love you always!

Weekend wrap-up...

We had a good easy-going weekend. Saturday I took Sena to buy a new dress for her First Comeunion this week and then we watched Kristians soccer team scrimmage in the dome. He played awesome! Sena helped to keep Ri busy on the side lines, coloring and running around playing silly games. Sena is such a good helper. Saturday night we took the girls to see Horton Hears A Who movie. It was ok, movies just are not as good as they used to be. Rilynn liked it and the popcorn was wonderful. Today the kids not so willingly helped do chores and clean out Chads car. We are hoping to sell it. Then we headed to grandmas for dinner and to play with cousins. Rilynn was not happy that Sena stayed over at grandma to spend the night with her cousins she thought that she should come home with us! Andrew came home with us to spend the night with Kristian. As different as those two are they love to be together. I am glad that the big kids have their cousins. Some of the best times of my child hood were spent with my cousin. Poor Ri is not going to be that lucky.

Sunshine

What a beautiful day! Lots of sunshine and melting snow. Rilynn LOVED it! She spent hours diging in the wet snow, splashing in the "river" at the end of the driveway, and she even played in her sandbox! We walked Sena to school and we walked to pick Kristian up after school. spring is coming, FINALLY!!

Meet the rest of the "krew"

We have a small zoo around here. "Cody" is our Lhasa Apso. I am trying hard to come up with something nice to say about him. He is a dog. I am not a dog person. What else can I say? Chad and Rilynn love him. "Nala" is our cat that has been around forever. I think Sena was 2 when we got her. She is a counter cat. I have tried all the tricks in the book to keep her off. She likes to be up high where the dog isnt. I don't blame her. "Bun-bun" is Sena's bunny. My dad built her a beautiful rabbit hutch so that we could have bunnies outside. We started with two bunnys but Rilynns little "bugs bunny" did not make it through our harsh winter. It was very sad to find a frozen bunny. "Bun-bun" has been inside living in the dogs kennel ever since. He will go back outside come spring. Rilynn loves chasing the bunny around the house, the poor thing! I have a pretty blue beta fish and we recently added a little tank to Ri's room with two goldfish. One died within the first week so now we only have one. We also have a gerbil that I did not feel compelled to take out of the cage to photograph. Same story here, we started with two... Kristian and his friend had a little "accidant". One fell behind the bed and they tried to rescue him, but instead dropped the bed on the poor little guy! Ever seen two teenage boys cry? It was sad. So obviusly things don't do well in pairs around here! Life is never boring in the Sebionkrew zoo!

Chuck E. Cheese

When the big kids were little we used to go to Chuck E. Cheese to play all the time. Although Rilynn had been there before it had been so long that she didnt remember. She was in awe. All smiles. The big kids took extra special care of her there using their tickets to buy her stuff. (junk) I love to see them growing up and wanting to make her happy. I forgot my camra but these are the pictures that Daddy took on his phone. (not bad!)
