Friday in the car on the way to Walmart...

Ri- "mama, where is everyone?"
Me- "who, Ri?"
Ri- "all of us"
Me- "who's all of us?'
Ri- "Chad, Sena, Kristian, ALL OF US!"
Me- "oh, Daddy took Kristian and Sena to school when you were still sleeping this morning"
Ri- "then where is daddy?"
Me- "at work"
Ri- (disappointed) "oh, man"

Friday night finishing up dinner...

Dad- "ok, I have to go to soccer practice" (hes the coach for Senas team)
Ri- (face lights up) "oh, pweaze I come too daddy? I will get my soccer clothes on!" (she looks over at me, I say nothing)"daddy, mommy says yes!"

Chad and I devise a plan so that she can go, she gets her soccer outfit and soccer shoes on so excitedly!

At practice she runs and plays with the big girls for a while...

Ri- "daddy"
Dad- "what, Ri,Ri?"
Ri- (with a very sad face) "I don't have my own soccer team"
(shes 2 1/2!!!)

On the way home from soccer practice...

Kristian-(feeling sorry for himself) "Little Ri is going to be the best soccer player out of all of us, that sucks!"
Ri- "that sucks?" ( not knowing what that inappropriate for a 2 yr old word means)
Kristian- "no Ri, I mean, that's awesome! Your a great soccer player!" (high fives)
